The first MK Dads Club walk is officially complete! 🚶‍♂️

On 7th June 2026 we met at 10:30am at Willen Lake, with the meeting point at ///prayers.duties.creatures on What3words.

It was a busy morning around the lake, with an official Cancer Research UK run taking place at the same time. Luckily, we managed to arrive between start times, so it wasn’t quite as busy as it could have been!

I’ll be honest – I wasn’t expecting a huge turnout for our very first walk. In fact, I was expecting there to be two of us: myself and my father-in-law, Steve.

So imagine my surprise when Ben and Matt joined us too!

That’s a 100% increase on expectations. 😂

More importantly, it meant that the first MK Dads Club walk wasn’t just an idea anymore. It was four dads getting together, walking around the lake and having a chat.

This is what MK Dads Club is all about. Nothing formal, nothing complicated. Just getting out, meeting other dads and having a bit of conversation.

And this is only the beginning.
